Data sources

This directory combines two independent sources. Neither one is us — we don't generate registration facts or ratings, we only surface them clearly and attribute them correctly.

The MARA register

Agency and agent details — names, registration status, MARNs, registration dates, and addresses — come from the public register maintained by the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA). This is the authoritative source: if our copy of the register ever disagrees with OMARA's, OMARA's is correct. We check the register on a regular schedule and show the exact check date — "verified against the MARA register on [date]" — on every agency page.

Google ratings and reviews

Star ratings, review counts, and review text come from each agency's Google Business Profile, matched to the register entry. We only show a rating when we have a confident match — an ambiguous or failed match means no review block at all, never a zero or an unrated placeholder. Every rating and review is labelled as coming from Google and links back to the source listing.

Freshness

Register data typically refreshes on a weekly cycle; Google data on a similar cadence. Individual pages can lag a live change by up to a day for a new agency page, and up to several hours for a city page, because of how the site caches content — see our methodology page for the ranking that runs on top of this data.

If something looks wrong

Missing or stale data is shown as "not currently shown in our copy of the register" with the last-checked date — never as a claim that someone is unregistered. If you spot an error, get in touch through our contact page.
