Unfortunately, Hanna’s service was not good. Our case should have been straightforward; however, proper documentation must be submitted to the Department of Home Affairs. We were applying for a 186 DE visa. My company is a good Australian company, with strong numbers and a genuine willingness to support the application. The main problem was that Hanna submitted a very poor job description and a weak genuine position statement. The case officer took these two documents very seriously, and because they were so poorly prepared, the visa was refused without requesting any further information. As a result, we lost almost two years waiting and around AUD 14,000 in application costs. We were also very disappointed with the way the refusal was communicated. When the visa was denied, Hanna did not even call us — only sent an email, saying that the refusal was mostly because the department was not considering many chefs. After checking the information ourselves, this was not true at all.
