Information I was given was completely inaccurate. - the "under 45" requirement for work visas does NOT mean "45 and under" as I was advised. It's clearly stated across all government websites. - the language test cannot be completed online and must be completed at a testing center. I'm only in town for a short amount of time. Had I not done my own research, I would have missed my opportunity to take the test. -visa 189, according to Australian Government Homeland affairs, only applies to Hong Kong or NZ applicants and is therefore not an option. Just say that you don't know, do the research, then follow-up with the client. What's the actual plan? Have clients do all of the required skill tests and say, "oh, well, it was this technicality because you didn't do it right, not us." Shocking that you have to leave your phones in a basket so that there's no possible accountability. EDIT: ....this response makes you look less knowledgeable, not more. Work visas, not permanent residency, have an age limit of 18-30. PR visas have an age cut off of 45, or BEFORE YOUR 45TH BIRTHDAY. You absolutely DID tell me home-based was an option, showed me how to Google, "language tests for australian visa," and suggested Perkins as one test. Because the purpose was to gain points, the only acceptable test is in-person IELTS. That's it. Why wouldn't you provide the exact information to register for that specific test? There's no, "we can't favor one company over another," in this situation. There is only one option and one website in which to register. .........look up 189. This is embarrassing. It permanently closed 1 July 2023. In a separate message, you told me that I was also offered a partner option. My partner has been dead well before I walked into your office. I'd ask for a refund, but my safest bet is to cancel my credit card. This is terrifying.
