A Hilarious and Frustrating Experience with the 858 Permanent Visa First of all, congratulations to myself on successfully obtaining my Australian NIV visa! As someone who's been working in a large tech company for 20 years, I'm used to complex systems, but the logic of the Australian immigration department truly made me understand what it means to be part of a chaotic, unregulated world. In late 2023, I submitted a GTI EOI through a domestic agency, but it was rejected. The reason given in the rejection letter was "insufficient income." Most likely, the staff sent an irresponsible template letter. The real reason remains unknown. Later, I was fortunate enough to find Qiaoan, and confidently resubmitted my application. Shortly after, the policy changed and was shut down. At that point, I was resigned to my fate and prepared to move to another country. I'm very grateful to the Qiaoan team for helping me prepare my NIV EOI documents so quickly. This time, everything went very smoothly, and I received an invitation a month later. I thought the visa process after the invitation would be a formality, but after waiting for more than half a year, I received a long-term request for additional documentation for the S56 visa. Besides the usual supplementary documents, they also asked me to submit a whole bunch of additional evidence. These materials were already fully explained by Qiao An during the EOI stage. It's truly rare to be required to "prove who I am" more than half a year after receiving an EOI invitation. Thanks to Qiao An's team for their professional handling of every frustrating juncture, and thanks to myself for my perseverance and outward composure throughout.
