I had a disappointing experience with Owen Harris in 2022 when seeking advice on a 485 visa. Given the high consultation fee, I expected a well-prepared and professional service, but that wasn’t the case. Before the appointment, the office manager was professional and had me fill out a form with key details. I assumed the attorney would have reviewed it, but when the consultation started, he asked me to fill out the same form again. It took up the first 5–10 minutes of my paid hour before I pointed it out. Throughout the session, he yawned multiple times during a midday Monday appointment, which, combined with the lack of preparation, made a poor impression. When I asked about occupation pathways for a 190 or 491 visa, he didn’t offer much insight and didn’t seem familiar with the requirements in my field. It was clear he hadn’t done much prep. He may be more experienced with other visa types, but definitely not 485, 190, or 491 visas for niche occupations. The session may have ended a few minutes early, but by that point, I wasn’t getting much useful information anyway. I’m sharing this now because, over time, I’ve come across much better services—more knowledgeable, fairly priced, and without all the marketing hype. If you’re a recent graduate looking for solid advice while being mindful of costs, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. It’s also worth asking around for recommendations rather than relying solely on online reviews. Hopefully, when making a decision, you won’t feel like was a waste of money. Good luck!
