I am writing to express my disappointment following the consultation session I had at the visa center regarding my UK spouse visa. Although I visited the visa center in person, I was connected via Zoom to an individual who came across as rather pompous and dismissive. During our conversation, I explained that my husband (a British citizen) was on secondment in Sri Lanka, earning his salary in LKR, which met the financial requirements when converted to GBP. I also mentioned that we planned to migrate to the UK in September, at which point my husband would resume working at the UK head office of the same company, earning his salary in GBP. Instead of offering constructive advice or exploring the situation further, you bluntly stated that my visa application would be rejected, and I will have no entry ever if I offend the home office applying for visa under this circumstance. This comment by you left me devastated. This was neither helpful nor necessary Thankfully, we sought assistance from a qualified UK lawyer, who promptly helped us obtain the visa. This contrast highlighted the lack of professional and thorough advice I received during our session. I urge you to review cases more carefully before making definitive statements that can unnecessarily discourage people. It is important to study your clients’ situations and offer helpful guidance instead of delivering baseless, damaging conclusions. Respectful communication and professionalism should always be maintained, regardless of experience or seniority. I hope you take this feedback into account for future interactions with clients.
