Think Visa was recommended to us via a friend, after we had difficulties with several other agencies. We were warned that trying to bring my fiancée into Australia, dealing with immigration and Visa's would be a "bloodbath!" Not really a good analogy. I recalled back in late Feb 25 having my first free consultation with Richard advising me on a strategy on how I should approach an application for my boy. It was great thinking outside the box- which I would not have known on my own by reading through online. In early Mar 25, Think Visa helped me to lodge an application with the approval successfully granted in early Nov 25. The meticulous strategy did work! Big thanks to Sheila and Jack for making this happens, and their professional services are highly commended.
We engaged Think Visa to assist with our partner visa application. Initially, we had a consultation with a knowledgeable agent who explained the process clearly and assured us that communication would be smooth via WhatsApp. Unfortunately, that was the high point of our experience. And that's probably the last time we speak to this person. We were quoted a fee that was higher than other agencies, but we were told it would cover both the 820 and 801 visa stages. However, after receiving the 820 visa, we were unexpectedly asked to pay an additional $2,090 for the 801 stage, apparently a separate “professional fee” is needed on top of the visa fee. This felt misleading and dishonest. Throughout the 820 process, communication was slow and inconsistent. Our case was very straightforward, yet we received minimal guidance. We submitted all required documents expecting feedback or suggestions, but none were provided. Questions often took over a day to be answered, and responses were often "let me check with my supervisor' and it will take another day or 2 to get back to you. By then, I would have already found the answer myself on the immigration website. Staff turnover was another issue. Several people left during our process, and handovers were poorly managed. At one point, I was told to email documents to an admin address. The most frustrating part came toward the end of the process. On 20/08, I emailed updated documents to be uploaded to my application. I received a prompt reply (surprisingly fast, likely because I had previously complained about slow responses) confirming they would upload the documents and share evidence once done. I waited, but heard nothing back. On 28/08, I followed up on WhatsApp asking for an update. The response was: “I thought we had provided the evidence.” I replied that I hadn’t received anything, then silence. I followed up again on 29/08, still no reply. Another message on 02/09, and finally I received an email from someone I had never dealt with before, saying the documents had just been uploaded. I checked the date and confirmed they were uploaded on 02/09, a full 14 days after my initial email. When I questioned why it took so long, they said the person responsible was on leave. I asked why the task was assigned to someone unavailable, especially when the first person had replied to my email on the day. Their excuse? The documents needed to be “converted and unlocked.” As someone who works in tech, I know this is not a 10-day task. Converting and unlocking documents is a basic process that takes minutes not weeks. It was clear they were just trying to cover up poor internal coordination and lack of accountability. Overall, Think Visa did not deliver the service we paid for. Awful experience. We spent more time chasing them than getting actual help. If your case is straightforward and legitimate, it's very unlikely to get refused. Save your money and do it yourself.
❌ Extremely disappointed with ThinkVisa and their lawyer Jack Chen. I hired ThinkVisa to handle my Subclass 482 visa application. Unfortunately, their negligence and lack of professionalism directly caused my visa to be refused. They submitted my visa with an incorrect annual salary figure, which caused the immigration system to automatically classify my application under the "Specialist Skills" stream. When I received the refusal letter from the Department of Home Affairs and questioned them, they strongly denied making any mistake and insisted it was a system issue on the immigration website. Eventually, we tested the system together in front of Jack, inputting the correct salary, and it clearly classified the application under the correct stream. Only then did Jack admit it was their mistake — but not until after firm denial, strong attitude, and absolutely no offer of compensation. Worse still, they submitted the application under the “Specialist Skills” stream without informing me or my employer, even though this was a major deviation from what we had previously discussed and agreed on. They also ticked the box stating that my dependent would not appeal if the application was refused — again, without our consent, putting my dependent at serious risk of forced departure. They made multiple factual errors throughout the process, including: Entering the wrong residential address, Confusing the province, Reversing my employer’s first and last name, Failing to fill in my current visa status. What’s worse, none of these errors were acknowledged by them — I discovered all of them myself by manually checking the submitted documents. If you are considering using ThinkVisa, I strongly urge you to think twice. Immigration is too serious to be handled by an agency that is careless, evasive, and refuses to be held accountable. My review is a factual account of my personal experience, supported by documented evidence. If you believe any part of it is inaccurate, you are welcome to clarify in your public response.
I’m so grateful to Think Visa and especially Emma Segura for all their help with my partner visa. My partner is an Australian citizen, and even though our case had some complexities, they guided us with patience, professionalism, and genuine care. My visa was lodged in July 2024 and approved in September 2025 ; much faster than the usual 2-year wait. When immigration requested further information (s56), Emma worked closely with the officer and strengthened our evidence, giving us confidence throughout the process. I’ve been with Think Visa since 2021 and can’t recommend them highly enough!
