We applied via Think Visa for a Partner visa 801 leading to the 820 for my Wife. Think Visa made the daunting process very smooth, providing regular updates regarding the documentation requirements. We both knew that the wait time would be long however within 10 months both the 801 and 820 were granted at the same time. Saying we are over the moon is an understatement!! Visa Granted – After a Long 18-Month Journey! I recently received my 186 visa grant, and while I’m thrilled with the result, the journey with ThinkVisa had its ups and downs. Initially, my case was handled by Michelle, who gave me a clear briefing before handing it over to Jack and Valona (who is no longer with the team). I submitted all required documents promptly, but I found the onshore team somewhat disengaged, relying heavily on the offshore team. When it came time to update documents, support was minimal—I had to upload several myself, which was frustrating. Communication was a significant challenge. Despite multiple emails and calls to Jack and Michelle, I rarely received a response. Jack was always “in a meeting” and essentially unreachable. Things improved when Emma took over my case. She was responsive and professional, which made the later part of the process smoother. Rachelle also stood out for her professionalism and attention to detail. In the end, the visa grant speaks for itself, and I’m thankful for that. If ThinkVisa can improve their communication and provide more onshore support, they'd be a stronger agency overall.
Think Visa is negligent, incompetent, and a rip off. They seemed very nice & professional until they got paid. It all went downhill after that and their worthlessness became apparent. Enough opinions though, the rest of this review are only facts in my experience with Think Visa. - Data Entry Mistakes: there were so many data entry mistakes on numerous steps throughout the visa process. The worst was that they misspelled my name on the EOI!!! Nearly every date field was wrong, even though I provided this information to them. To their credit (kind of), they provided me screenshots to validate data before they would submit it. But the sheer quantity and frequency of mistakes is not what I was paying them for and is very much what made me decide that they are negligent and incompetent. - Incorrect ACS Confirmation Letter: part of the process required getting an ACS confirmation letter. Think Visa emailed me notifying me that the confirmation was "successful". 6 months later of no updates from the EOI, I requested the actual ACS letter from Think Visa. As soon as I opened it I saw an obvious error which stated that I had 0 years of work experience in Australia. Ugh! I notified Think Visa of this problem and they denied that it was an error on their end, they tried to blame ACS. However from my perspective as the client who paid Think Visa, who cares where the error occurred? Either Think Visa messed up the data entry (likely) or they got back an erroneous letter from ACS and they didn't properly validate it. Negligent! This basically wasted 6 months of my application and I didn't even have the EOI approved yet. - Refusal to Refund in Accordance with Contract: At this point, I decided that Think Visa was a rip off company and I didn't want them representing me any longer since they had messed up every stage of the process so far and it wasn't even half way completed. I told them I wanted to terminate the service and I requested a partial refund for all the work that they had not yet done in the application process. Long story short, they made up numbers saying that they had already used the entire fee I paid and thus there was nothing left to refund. I got nothing back :( Please stay away from Think Visa if you care about yourself and getting your needs met. NOTE: The above review I originally posted on 2025.03.28, but somehow Think Visa got Google to make it private. I am republishing. Also FYI, I have reported Think Visa to ACCC for having an unfair refund policy. I encourage others swindled by Think Visa both future and past to do the same. Let's not let companies like this to exist. A glassdoor review from a former employee states that they were pressured by Richard and other management to accept money from clients even if they didn't have a good chance of success at a visa.
I finally got my Partner Visa granted after 13 months, and ThinkVisa supported us throughout the entire process. Our application was offshore, and while there were some communication issues at times, the team was always helpful. Initially, Richard reassured us that we’d be notified of any issues and that communication would be clear, especially after our poor experiences with other agents. However, during a critical time when we couldn’t access our Gmail, we missed a document deadline. Despite the group chat being created for easier communication, we didn’t receive any follow-up reminders via WeChat or Gmail (even though we couldn’t check our Gmail at the time). Later, we were told that "by law, all communication must be through email." Now that we are aware of this, we were more alert in the following stages. While this was frustrating and we weren’t happy with their service at the time, once we were able to reconnect, I could see that the team made an effort to assist with the required documents, and communication improved. I was also confused by the number of team members (legal assistants) involved in helping us with the documents, as we were communicating with several people at once. Sometimes, we had to repeat ourselves and remind them that we had already provided the documents for review and submission to DHA. Overall, the services provided by ThinkVisa are good, and we would seek their assistance again or recommend their services to friends and family.
