I booked consultation with senior migration lawyer Angela D and I am highly disappointed with the meeting I had. She wasn’t professionally guiding us. What I mentioned she was stick to that only. From her end there was no proper guidance what we can further do for PR pathway. I suggested her the options and my husband was asking can we do this or that then she was responding ohhh yes you can do that as well. How does that make sense when we a book a consultation and we are the one who were thinking other options in the meeting. Also she was more concerned about her time to leave the meeting and I am highly disappointed that I paid 220$ and got 0% advice from her side. If the team could refund the amount that would be really appreciative.Thanks. I would give 0 star not even 1 for the terrible meeting I had.
I mean its not just empathy, but the overall experience /appointment. Hanan was able to clarify all my questions, she was able to guide me properly on what are my next steps, and most importantly she was able to ease my worries and enlighten me the possible ways that would come up after the refusal of my visa. I was so amazed when she remembered me and our first interaction way back I think that was first part of the year. I booked an appointment with a Senior Migration Lawyer Anjela D at Maison Chen on 22May. During our initial discussion, I explicitly and repeatedly stated that I do not have anyone working under me and even sent over my organization chart for her review. This detail is critical for the specific skills assessment I was seeking. Despite having clearly reviewed this key disqualifying factor, Anjela strongly encouraged me to proceed with an eligibility assessment, assuring me that obtaining a statement of service from my employer should resolve any potential issues. I proceeded based on her professional advice, which cost $1,650 After 3 months (absolute waste of time in collecting and submitting the requested documents to get nothing out of it, when she knew the case), Anjela advised that I was not eligible for the skills assessment. The sole reason cited for the negative outcome was the exact detail I had clearly disclosed and documented at the outset: the lack of subordinates. I feel severely misled and cheated. The core reason for my ineligibility was known and confirmed by the senior lawyer before I was encouraged to pay the non-refundable fee. This demonstrates a complete lack of due diligence and poor professional judgment. I consulted another migration agent who provided me better options that I could pursue using my qualifications without wasting time and money which was something Anjela didn't even mention and did not know anything about it as their goal was to mint money from me in the name of eligibility assessment. I would give 0 stars if possible and urge caution to anyone seeking advice from this firm, as their priority appears to be securing client fees over providing accurate, ethical guidance. They lack knowledge in what they do. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
In my experience Maison was poorly managed and lacking in client care. Given the high fees ($9,000 just for Maison fee) and inadequate service, I would strongly advise others to seek a migration firm that prioritises timely communication, and genuine client support. Initially they will treat you with care, but once they have the money out of you, the responsiveness completely drops. You’ll find yourself following up repeatedly—often for three days or more—just to get a reply. And when you do, the response is usually, “We’ll discuss this with the senior lawyer,” which only leads to further delays and wasted time. For the skills assessment part, on the name of guidance they will only hand you out the links to ACS website; to refer to and you would have to do all the work, even preparing the job duties to match the relevant occupation. If we have to do the work ourselves, what's the point of paying Maison??? Throughout my engagement, the firm consistently demonstrated poor communication, lack of follow-up, and minimal accountability. Almost every query required multiple follow-ups and days of waiting before receiving a response, even for basic updates. However, their social media pages showcase differently. Despite paying over $9,000 in professional fees, the responses were delayed, vague, and without any clear strategic direction. I was repeatedly told matters would be “referred to the senior lawyer,” but weeks would pass with no update or meaningful guidance. The alternative options later suggested were impractical and came with further charges almost $5,000, yet there was no clear plan or assurance of benefit. Maison handling of my case felt reactive and unstructured from start to finish. In short, we all work very hard - do not waste your money, time and effort by choosing Maison.
