I let myself be influenced by the marketing (and I’m someone who works in marketing), and honestly, the way they explain legal topics and all their content on social media is excellent—my respect to the person in charge of that. But unfortunately, my process was absolutely far from what they promise on their platforms… 100% false advertising. I understand that getting a visa isn’t easy and there are no guarantees, but the lack of communication from the legal team was what stood out the most during my process. Many times, I had to contact my lawyer myself to ask them to take action on updates I saw the government had made, and it felt like we had to beg them to help us do something they should have been informing us about, not the other way around. It was two years in which, in the end, I got exhausted from waiting for them to guide me. There was never any initiative on their part, so I decided to hire another law firm, meaning I paid for two processes. When my visa time was about to expire, the Mayson Chen legal team didn’t even contact me, there was no plan b, or feedback, or comments, NOTHING. Months passed, and I was already on another visa , and now waiting for my Permanent residency thanks to my new lawyers. After 2 months of being on a new visa mayson Chen team finally contacted me to let me know that my current visa expired , funny, right? The process with my current lawyers felt completely different, and that’s when I realised the issue wasn’t my case…it was my previous lawyers (Mayson Chen). I’m not generalising, but this law firm is not what it promises, and I would recommend not being swayed by their marketing, because that’s all it is: pure marketing. There’s plenty options in Australia, prices are quite similar but what matters the most for a good migration process is clarity and communication, and believe me, you can find that somewhere else but here.
