I love Woolies Kwinana, unfortunately I do have a issue with staff who are unaware of products and aren't willing to assist you. I was in Woolies Saturday 19 May 25. I was looking for Hot Honey, I asked the young woman at the customer service counter, I showed her a picture of the product her response, "that's Coles" I said I knew but I was asking if Coles had the product, her response " I don't know." Needless to say I gave up after searching the aisles myself. I grab a few things then I went to the self service checkout, and was greeted by Wendy who, no matter what time of day or day, greets and assists you with a beautiful smile and is always more than happy to help each customer with the utmost respect. This time i asked her name as i wanted to ensure Webdy received a great review. I want to give her 5 stars. Woolies you finally have a staff member who enjoys her job.
I have just purchased from Kwinana store a 1kg pack of tomatoes. The use by date is 11/10/24. When I got them home just now they are rotten and mouldy. This store has the worst fresh produce which I have seen. Yellow old broccoli, baby cos use by 4/10, today is the 5 th. Wasted $8 . Shame on you Woolworths. You have crappy fruit and veg managers / operators. And the store manager should be doing a quality check of the department. If he in fact did this you need a new manager. Woolworths used to be the fresh food people. Not any more!!!! Shame shame !! I am also a shareholder, nice to see where my money is being flushed down the toilet!!!!
Oh what a waste of time!!! I went to Big W last Sunday morning and purchased a few things (including a battery operated tooth brush). I suffer from a severe walking disability as I have had 5 surgeries on my right knee over the past 7 years and for that reason I always try to go to a 'real person' at the checkout as I find it difficult to do the self serve checkout - holding onto the trolley, holding onto my walking pole and scanning and paying for the purchases. Much to my frustration there was no one at the checkout so I was forced to use the self serve option!! Anyway when I went to pay I asked for assistance from the only staff member manning that section of the store and she realised that I had accidently forgotten to scan the toothbrush and it was still in my trolley. I then did scan the toothbrush but instead of putting it in my shopping bag I must have left it on the platform to the right of the scanner. It was only yesterday that I realised that I hadn't unpacked the toothbrush so today I thought I would ring Big W at Winston Hills to ask (and I know this would have been a long shot) if anyone found the toothbrush that I had paid for but accidently did not put in my bag. I rang the Woolworths phone no......again becoming frustrated that I couldn't speak to a 'real' person but instead spoke to a robot asking many questions and then finally saying that they would transfer my call to Big W at Winston Hills. You can guess where this is heading....the phone rang for around 3 minutes and then nothing happened until around 7 minutes when the line went dead. I tried this again in case something was amiss with the first call. Of course exactly the same thing happened twice. NOT HAPPY JAN!!! I hate all this automated crap....you can never speak to anyone....and never get anything resolved. I know I am old but can we please stop all this not being able to interact with humans.....and be forced to use automatic scanners and then not even be able to phone the shop in question. When I was younger and working this would have been totally unacceptable. Real customers spoke to real employees and got real results. Rant over!!!!
Absolutely disgraceful, that Woolworths is the only major retail in Australia to enforce a no change of mind policy. They refuse even with a receipt to give you your money back. Disgusting. They sell items beyond food, but have the arrogance to say no refund, go spend your money in the store only. As if we don't spend enough and regularly. Whoever enforced that rule should be sacked. It might make your bottom line look better in the short term, but in the long term having such atrocious disrespectful customer service to regular customers, will see this company go down hill in the future. They think they are being smart, but they are actually creating long term business suicide. I know every company will take my money, but I watch to see if I return something how they treat me. Woolworths, you have a bad egg at the top of your food chain, with ZERO knowledge of customer service!!
Why are you too lazy to answer you phones- this is phone call #3. The so called customer care # didn't answer after 47 minutes & 38 seconds. The 2nd phone call went unanswered for 15 minutes & 28 seconds. Then I try to ring head office & am back in the SAME stupid loop. So far that's over an hour of my life wasted that I can NEVER get back. IF MY CALL IS SO IMPORTANT TO YOU , TRY ANSWERING THE PHONE - I HAVE NO MORE PATIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY...🤬 The longer ypu don't bother to answer my call the more IRATE I am becoming. For the 3rd time, you have delivered groceries to the INCORRECT location - these are for a 92 yo man & the delivery instructions are EXPLICIT. HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE YO PUT UP WITH ILLITERATE LAZY DELIVERY DRIVERS & PAY $15 FOR NOTHING!!! I had to get the neighbour involved & it's taken a good 15 minutes to find the delivery 🤬 The driver on this instance was Gene from Door Dash.
I paid hundreds of dollars and never received my item and Big W refuses to acknowledge this or refund my money. I have spent hours and hours on hold, writing emails, or chatting to their online operators trying to find my item or seek a refund only to be passed around and the blame to be pointed in every which direction. I have literally sent dozens of emails at this point, and have not received any support whatsoever. Every support avenue that should exist as a consumers right, is nothing but a closed loop or dead end. Big W will sell you an item that doesn't exist, and keep your money without any process for obtaining a refund, it's honestly criminal. I was unfortunately lulled into a sense of false security in making a purchase from Big W online based on their 4.9 out of 5 star rating for customer satisfaction. Unfortunately upon leaving my own negative review and having it conveniently disappear from their site upon publication, and seeing all the negative reviews on public review websites that Big W can't control, it seems that Big W may also be guilty of negative review suppression and consumer confidence manipulation. I would strongly urge anyone who is reading this who has had a similar experience to contact the ACCC, Fair Trading, and A Current Affair with your experience as I believe the exposing of Big W as a completely and utterly dodgy business that aims to profit from consumer laziness will be one of the largest news stories of 2025.
Big W is the department store version of Woolworths and offers electrical goods for sale amongst other things. This is a review of the Dyson V7, bought for $399.00. Dyson V7 POPULARITY Funkier looking than the old V6s and with improved features, performance and new tabs, the V7 takes the backache out of vacuuming. For nearly a year and a half, I cleaned houses ridden with fine dust, pet dander, pet hair and so on… and I never even had a service until my floor head eventually failed (on newly bought vacuums, Dyson offer parts and labour for 1 year, register your deets for a second!) Keep in mind (as many Aussies have multiple pets) with the intensity of cleaning, this is pretty impressive. I was well aware before I bought this of the power of cordless Dysons and so my expectations were cautious. But it didn’t let me down. V7 EVOLUTION Excluding the V7 Animal Pro, Dyson initially had a V7 without a HEPA filter (grey top) before later adding a purple/blue HEPA filter. If you suffer from allergies or asthma etc, on top of the filters offered, as with the V6 absolute, it made sense to buy a V7. These days, it has a silvery / white cyclone with an easier to access HEPA filter (star shaped) and an improved motorbar with detangling vanes. Impressively, like the V8, the V7 Advanced model has a 40 min battery plus 3 lights, exclusive to this machine. CLEANING / MAINTENANCE If you clean your Dysons and maintain them as per Dysons manuals, telephone and online support, in terms of technology and performance, it’s amazing how far they will go and how much they will do. For example, wash your filters, use max power sensibly when needed, remove blockages and tap the cyclone to dislodge fine dust when emptying the bin. HEPA FILTRATION The newer V7s swapped the grey top of the first generation V7 for a purple/blue HEPA filter. Trapping 9.97% of microscopic particles such as allergens, pollens, skin cells and pet hair (down to 0.3 microns) fancy words and matched by vacuuming actions, as your bin (and when you clean your cyclone and filter) will testify. CONVINIENCE Since I was a kid, cleaning at a friend of my dads with a upright Dyson was in the blood, but admittedly I wasn’t going to be able to do multiple houses with it. So the V7 was a game changer for professional cleaners. Skirting, surfaces, draws, floors… you name it! The V7 enabled cleaners to work independently without lugging a behemoth vacuum around. SUMMARY If you are taking your first cordless steps, the V7 offers lightness, flexiblity and solid power. Factor in this convinience with the HEPA filtration for health, the ease of use and this remains a sound cordless vacuum that is a must try.
Woolworths we are fed up with waiting at your checkouts for 20 minutes. We don't care if you are understaffed. It is not, nor should it be the customer's problem. HIRE MORE STAFF. You seem to have dropped ALL standards of service to your customers in exchange for greedily choosing to save even more money by not hiring enough staff. The fact that the staff from the deli and fish section at Carlingford Woolworths had to hop on to the checkouts, once again, IS NOT and nor should it be the customer's problem. The fact that the deli and fish section were thereby unmanned, IS NOT and nor should it be the customer's problem. HIRE MORE STAFF.
