This case involved a significant discrepancy between the applicant's academic background and their desired major, compounded by policy changes, necessitating a high level of professional evaluation and risk management. However, the submitted application lacked sufficient explanation of the connection between the applicant's background and their academic motivation, and its overall logic was flawed. Only after the application results were unsatisfactory did the agent offer several supplementary suggestions, such as preparing a portfolio, attendance records, and letters of recommendation. These suggestions themselves were not problematic, but a more comprehensive plan before submission, clearly explaining potential risks, would have been more responsible for the student. The overall impression is that the process itself was manageable, but the handling of the application lacked professional judgment and attention to detail, which presented a high degree of risk. Students with complex or atypical backgrounds are advised to compare various options before making a decision. In this example, Vivian is not one of the best agency options.
